Dan Edwards, K-Star V Charlie Gillespie

Posted by kstarthaiboxing on December 3, 2012 at 8:00 PM Comments comments (0)

K-Star's Dan Edwards fought Charlie Gillespie fromTeam Tieu on the Team Tieu show in London on Sunday.

This was a big step up for Dan as Charlie is far more experienced, but Dan more than proved that he was a credible opponent.

The fight was A Class over 5 x min rounds and elbows and knees to the head were allowed. Dan got cut, just under his eyebrow in the first round. His corner team of Steve Logan, Damien Trainor and Pete Rai were a little worried about this at first as it was a bad place for a cut, but Steve managed to stem the blood and Dan carried on as normal.

The fight went the full rounds and Charlie Gillespie was the winner, but Dan was in the fight all the way through and gave Gillespie a real run for his money.

Dan is now ste to fight at the Tower Ballroom in Birmingham on Sunday 24th February 2013 against John-Paul Donoghue from Semtex. This will be another tough fight for Dan, but once again he will be training hard and will rise to the occasion.

Tickets for this fight will be available from http://MuayThaiShows.com

Here is a short Video of Dan on the pads with Steve Logan training for the fight with Charlie.
